ULLICO Inc., an insurance and financial services holding company with $5.3 billion in total assets under management, has recently named Richard F. LaRocque as Corporate Compliance Officer.  LaRocque joins ULLICO from Sun Life Financial, where he was a Compliance Officer.  Earlier in his career, he was with John Hancock Life Insurance Company.

Glen Burnie, Maryland-based J.J. Haines and Company, Inc. recently elected three new directors: Frederick M. Strader, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Wilmington, Massachusetts-based Textron Industries; Pierce B. Dunn, Partner, Baltimore-based Brown Advisory; and Ellen H. Yankellow, Pharm.D., President & Chief Executive Officer of Correct Rx Pharmacy Services, Inc., in Linthicum.  These individuals were selected following a five-month nationwide search, conducted by Columbia Consulting Group’s Baltimore office.  Founded in 1874, J. J. Haines is a privately-held distributor of floor coverings and related products serving a territory from Pennsylvania to Florida. 

Veteran non-profit executive Melina Davis-Martin, formerly President of the National M.S. Society of Central Virginia (Richmond), has been named CEO of the newly-chartered American Lung Association (ALA) of the Atlantic Coast, which serves North Carolina, Virginia and Maryland.
